Hey all! Welcome to my new site, Dalloway Place.
I’m back with a new venture and more revamps to share! I have officially opened my ETSY SHOP, featuring modern art prints & typography posters. I’m so excited to share this passion of mine.
Now onto some paintin’!
This buffet is a monster – so huge! No wonder it sat untouched for 6 months. But what a beautiful beast she is! I love rubbed through distressing on black pieces, but decided against it on this one. Has enough interesting detail all on its own.
Spray finished with my favorite Sherwin Williams paint in tricorn black.
The three art prints (subway signs and eye chart) are available in my shop. Use the code “BLOG10″ for 10% off!
I am linking this up at Thrifty Decor Chick’s Before and After Party, One Project at a Time at a Bowl Full of Lemons, Primitive and Proper’s POWW, the Power of Paint Party, Hookin’ Up with House of Hepworth’s, The Shabby Nest’s Frugal Friday, and Miss Mustard Seed’s Furniture Feature Friday.
Do you have a before pic of the buffet? It is a beautiful piece of furniture.
Shame I didn’t get to snap one this time, would have made for a good before/after cause it was bright orange! :) Thanks Tammie!
Great job!!!! Love the look.
Beautiful piece – the hardware pops out so well against that black.

This is so beautiful. . .Do you give instructions? Thank You.
Thanks Karen! I prepped the piece by sanding – then applied primer, black latex paint, and clear coat. Hope this helps!
Love it! What a fabulous job you did on this piece.
Gorgeous! Love the glossy black finish. I’m featuring your project in the PoPP Spotlight this weekend over Domestically Speaking. Thanks for joining the party.
Thank you so much Maryann!! :)
